Following the earlier announcement, here are some more details about the closure of the marketplace.
To be honest with you, closing this chapter hurts more than I can say.
But at the same time, I am glad of Gamoniz’ new mission.
The marketplace was built to let gamers trade high-end items safely.
It worked (thousands of euros flowed, zero scams happened).
Yet outside pressures forced me to pull the plug right after launch. I can’t share any detail (wish I could), but I can share what comes next: turning twelve years of “goldseller” know-how into guides that help you save money, earn money, and stay safe in the RMT world.
Here is a little summary of what happened and my plans.
A quick look back
When Gamoniz opened last year, my goal was simple: safe, scam-free RMT trades.
In just a few months we welcomed 350 + users, moved $30 000 + in volume and—my favorite stat—0 scams reported.
Your trust turned a small idea into a safe, thriving hub.
I’m proud of what we built together, and of the community spirit that powered it.
Why I had to pull the plug
Short version: external constraints hit right after launch. Continuing the marketplace wasn’t possible.
As you know, it was extremely frustrating for me to stop developing the marketplace. Launch was successful and promising for the future, with huge potential for growth (new games and more users) as well as improvements (developing the website, adding new features…), which was exciting.
Right at the start, I could see sellers and buyers finally being able to sell highend items (the rarest items in the game worth thousands of €) .
Gamoniz allowed them to be risk-free, as before they were too afraid of risks (fraud for sellers with chargeback and scam for buyers).
There are a lot of things I wish I could share, as this whole situation profoundly affected me these past months. Unfortunately I am not allowed to go more into details with what happened.
And trust me I wish I could.
The new mission
I am slowing moving to other things. And that’s why I plan to share my 12+ years experience in RMT with the community.
The life of a “goldseller” is quite unique, and honestly it can be pretty amazing (I traveled around the globe for over a year while working).
A lot of people asked me for tips and guides about different subjects in the past.
That’s why I like the idea of eventually making Gamoniz a type of “Wikipedia” of RMT, with lots of guides, and methods for sellers and buyers.
It is not a full time thing, so I will not post regularly, but I plan to write from time to time, and eventually try to make low-budget videos (I never made any, but I know people are way too lazy to read long articles nowadays haha)
I will even share some secret methods and tips I used for years in RMT to make it a profitable business.
